The womb *should* be the safest place, right? Except that it’s not, a lot of the time, and not because of abortion. How about it’s not safe because of health issues — been there, done that. How about it’s not safe because we are wasting time arguing abortion instead of ways to prevent HELLP, IUGR, Pre-eclampsia/PIH, Eclampsia, preterm labor, etc.
Every minute, a woman in the world dies during pregnancy and childbirth. That’s over 500,000 a year. Many of the “no exception” pro-lifers like to say that abortion should never be an option when these complications threaten your life. There is no greater good in the mother living if she must become a “murderer.”
Why are these people calling themselves pro-life and not looking at the real reasons that the womb is a dangerous place for mother and baby? Why are they not advocating harder for more studies, more information, more results?
This is irritating. Clearly if it was about life, they’d be pushing harder for funding to solve these “womb problems” and for greater prenatal care availability — and I don’t mean CPCs. I mean real, adequate, awesome prenatal care through medical practices equipped to catch the almost-inevitable pregnancy issues.
